KANSAS CITY ACTORS THEATRE Announces cast for
ABSURD PERSON SINGULAR
November 14th, 2005 – On December 9th the Kansas City Actors Theater will open Alan Ayckbourn’s ABSURD PERSON SINGULAR on the H&R Block City Stage Theatre at Union Station, beginning with previews the week of December 2nd, 2005.
Three couples, in 3 kitchens, over 3 successive Christmases…ABSURD PERSON SINGULAR is a hilarious, bittersweet British farce about relationships. The play takes place at a harried gathering in the respective homes of three different-classed couples; nervous social climbers, intellectual malcontents, and the blasé rich. Ayckbourn uses farce, black comedy and satire to reveal the rituals people will go through to impress one and other. Combining elements of pure, sparkling farce with wild gallows humor, ABSURD PERSON SINGULAR tells the story of everyday people and their desire for material prosperity and independence.
